Mark Rial wins bronze medal to lead U.S. team at Pytlasinski Tournament

WARSAW, Poland - Mark Rial won a bronze medal in Greco-Roman wrestling to top the list of American finishers at the Pytlasinski Poland Open on Aug. 16-18.
Rial (Colorado Springs, Colo./Gator WC) placed third at 66 kg/145.5 lbs. in the event. Rial placed third at the 2007 U.S. World Team Trials.
Rial beat France's Steve Gvemot in his bronze-medal match. Rial went 4-1 in the event.
The only other American wrestler to place in the top five in Poland was Adam Wheeler, who placed fifth at 96 kg/211.5 lbs. Wheeler (Colorado Springs, Colo./Gator WC) placed second at the 2007 U.S. World Team Trials.
The U.S. team placed ninth in the team standings with 18 points. Ukraine won the event with 58 points.
