FILA announces that gut wrenches are worth one point

FILA, the international wrestling federation, has announced a change in the scoring of the gut wrench, one of the most common and successful moves in freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling. The FILA Bulletin No. 164-165, 2000 has the following information: "Gut Wrench: 1 point" "In the future, the value assigned to the gut wrench will be 1 point only, instead of 2 points as was the case until the Sydney Olympics."
