Cheney Haight named TheMat.com Wrestler of the Week for Nov. 2-8

Cheney Haight (Boise, Idaho/New York AC) has been named TheMat.com Wrestler of the Week for November 2-8.
Each week, TheMat.com will select an Athlete of the Week, based upon performance within wrestling for that week. The selection committee will consider any level of wrestling, from youth programs through the Senior level.
Haight won the New York AC International Open in Greco-Roman wrestling at 84 kg/185 lbs. on Sunday. Haight downed 2009 World Team member Chas Betts 0-1, 2-0, 2-0 in the finals.
Betts had knocked off 2008 Olympic champion Andrea Minguzzi of Italy en route to making the finals.
Haight won his second straight tournament title. He captured the Sunkist Kids International Open last month in Tempe, Ariz.
