Erwins Saget joins USA Wrestling Staff as Manager of Application Development

Erwins Saget of McDonough, Ga., recently joined the USA Wrestling staff as a Manager of Application Development. USA Wrestling is the national governing body of wrestling in the United States, which has its national headquarters in Colorado Springs, Colo.
“Erwins comes to us with a vast knowledge and understanding of application development and how to support the code bases that we use. His skills will serve to strengthen USA Wrestling and help to support all of our web platforms to better serve our grassroots leadership and members nationwide,” said Dave Mathews, USA Wrestling’s Director of Application Development.
Prior to joining USA Wrestling, Saget worked as a Full Stack Software Engineer at Snapnurse, a position that he began in April of 2021. Saget’s responsibilities included creating custom forms that integrate third party APIs, implementing rich text editor for clinician note-taking purposes and building frontend UI for real time SMS messaging system.
Saget brings over eight years of experience in the software engineering industry. He has worked in various roles throughout his career that also includes teaching experience. Saget served as the Lead Instructor at Marcy Lab School from 2021-2022 where he taught software engineering curriculum that covered topics in problem-solving, data structures and algorithms, databases, client-side and server-side development and optimizations.
He also served as a Software Engineer at Cognizant in Atlanta, Georgia, for over three years. Saget was a team lead to build multiple proofs of concept and simplified the onboarding process for new hires.
In 2019, Saget worked as the Lead Developer at Frontdor where he was responsible for implementing the frontend and backend of a business-to-consumer texting application that used several programmable communication tools.
In addition, he brings valuable experience as a Systems Manager Assistant at Mercer University, where he assisted with system configuration for Mercer’s computer science department using images and configured code execution environments using virtual machines.
Erwins Saget is a 2015 graduate of Mercer University with a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and Informatics. He also completed the Full Stack Web Development and Full Stack Java Development programs at Georgia Tech in 2019.
