The U.S. will send two men’s freestyle athletes to the 2026 Ulaanbaatar Open in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, which will serve as the third United World Wrestling Ranking Series event of the season.

CJ Composto will represent the U.S. in the men’s 65 kg division, while Cross Wasilewski will compete in the 70 kg division. Composto and Wasilewski are both members of the Pennsylvania Regional Training Center and will be coached by Matthew Valenti.

The 2026 Ulaanbaatar Open will be hosted at Buyant Ukhaa Sport Palace, June 4-7. Both Composto and Wasilewski’s men’s freestyle brackets will be contested on Sunday, June 7, with qualification rounds slated to begin at 10:30 a.m. local time.

Composto is a three-time NCAA Division I All-American at the University of Pennsylvania. On the international stage, he won a gold medal for the U.S. at the 2025 U23 Pan American Championships, where he earned four technical falls, including a 16-6 win over Cuba’s Juset Martinez Deprestre in the final.

Wasilewski is a current member of the University of Pennsylvania wrestling program and is a 2026 All-American following a seventh-place finish at the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships. As a freshman, he qualified for the 2025 NCAA DI Wrestling Championships after earning second-team All-Ivy distinctions at 149 pounds.
