The 2026 Senior Pan American championships conclude on Sunday at Xtream Arena in Coralville, Iowa, with men’s freestyle group two (57-65-70-79-92-97-125 kg). Updates and results from each Team USA match are below.


10 a.m. - Qualification rounds

1 p.m. - Semifinals

2 p.m. - Repechage


4 p.m. - Medal matches

The match starts with a low-level attempt by Cronin, chest wrap counter from Cruz, resulting in a stalemate. Cruz goes on the clock at 4:22, it expires, and Cronin takes the 1-0 lead. It’s 1-0 Cronin at the break. Cronin goes on the shot clock at 2:04. Cruz pressures in, going for a step out, and is countered by Cronin on the edge for a takedown. The action nullifies the shot clock, and Cronin leads 2-0. A shrug takedown from Cruz puts him in the lead on criteria, 2-2. We have a fresh start with 57 seconds to go. Cronin needs a score. A single leg off the restart for Cruz. He tries to come out the back door, but Cronin goes barrel roll and holds Cruz on his back before the whistle calls a stalemate. The officials confer, giving Cronin two points. The Puerto Rico corner challenges the call, and it is upheld. A lost challenge point is awarded to Cronin, making it 5-2 with 22 seconds left. Cruz gets in deep on a single leg and runs Cronin off the mat at the buzzer, resulting in a step out and fleeing call. Cronin gets the win, 5-4.


Biabani goes on the clock at 4:37 in a scoreless match. The shot clock expires, and Woods is on the board, 1-0. We head to the break 1-0 for Woods. Low level for Woods converts early in the second frame to take a 3-0 lead. Woods is put on the shot clock at 1:32. Point to Biabani after the activity time expires. Woods is leading 3-1 in the final minute. Woods steps out in the final seconds but prevails, 3-2.


Lovett gathers a two-on-one to a step out. Lovett scores a boot-scoot takedown to go up 3-0. He uses a claw and turk’s over Soto Rivera twice before transitioning to an arm bar finish for a pin halfway through the first period.


Arm throw from Silot Torres off Buchanan forward pressure one minute into the match to take the 4-0 lead. Buchanan returns serve with a quick double leg from space, and a leg lace turn, to tie it up at 4-4. Silot Torres counters with double overs for a four-point toss and a lace to take a 10-4 lead, which stands until the break. Silot Torres goes back to the double overs, taking advantage of a Buchanan shot attempt, and launches a four-pointer going out-of-bounds to clinch the match, 14-4. The U.S. corner challenges the call, and it is upheld. Another point to Silot Torres for a 15-4 final score.


Hendrickson starts hot, going high-c to a body lock toss for four just 21 seconds into the match. Dhinsa comes right back with an arm throw to knot things up at 4-4. Dhinsa gets greedy, attempts an over-under lateral drop, and gets stopped on his back by Hendrickson. It’s 6-4 Hendrickson 45 seconds into the match. Hendrickson finds a single leg lift and plants Dhinsa for four. It’s now 10-4 Hendrickson, at one minute in. Dhinsa goes for the over-under toss again, and Hendrickson counters to the back for a pin.

Labriola goes on the shot clock at 4:29 in a scoreless match. Point to Haines after the activity time expires, 1-0. Labriola is shaken up and takes injury time. Haines fights to a step out point with one second left in the period to lead 2-0 at the break. Haines goes on the shot clock at 2:32. Labriola shoots, Haines counters and goes head in the hole from the front headlock position. He transitions into a leg lace and ends the match with several turns, 11-0 at 1:59.


Hidlay uses his underhook and forward pressure to reel off five step outs, two of which earn a fleeing call against Bordeaux Rego Alvan, to give him a 7-0 lead in the first minute. Hidlay ends things midway through the period with a sweep single leg-to-gutwrench sequence.


Single leg for Lovett, he readjusts the lock and lifts Zale off the mat for two 24 seconds into the match. Lovett with a snapdown, go-behind, plus a pair of gutwrenches, to lead it 8-0. Lovett goes arm spin, gets the clinching takedown just over a minute into the match.


Low-level shot from Espinoza Muniz, Haines dives and grabs both ankles, stalemating for no points. Haines drives through a single leg, gathers a trapped arm to end it with four turns, 10-0 in just over one minute.


Shot off the whistle for Woods, and he converts the takedown and gets to his gut, followed by a crafty lace. Woods is up 6-0 in the first 28 seconds. Garcia Sanchez dives underneath and catches Woods for four. Woods returns the favor with a takedown on the ensuing exchange to make it 8-4 after the first minute. Woods finishes a gutwrench from the quad pod for four points, then adds another gutwrench to end it 14-4 at 3:24.


Right side underhook for Hidlay, who drives it off the mat in 11 seconds. A snapdown for Hidlay with forward pressure drives Ambrocio Greifo off the mat. It’s a step out and a fleeing point for Hidlay, who now leads 3-0. Hidlay starts in parterre and is unable to gather a turn. A single leg for Hidlay pushes the lead to 5-0. This time, Hidlay gets his lace locked and ends it with three turns, 11-0.


Lovett goes single leg right out of the gate and adds a gutwrench to lead 4-0. He readjusts his grip and goes for three more gutwrenches to end it 10-0 in 37 seconds.


Single leg for Cronin, and he walks it off the mat for a step out at the one-minute mark. Segura Guerra exposes from underneath on a shot attempt. It’s a close call, but Cronin is awarded two. The Guatemala corner challenges the call, loses, and another point goes up for Cronin. It’s 4-0 Cronin with a fresh start at 4:39. Cronin drives through a shot going off the mat for a step out, 5-0. An underhook toss to the back for Cronin, plus a gutwrench finishes it 11-0 at 3:24.


Hendrickson gets side control, locks up a cradle, and secures a pin in 31 seconds.


Single leg from Leder, heavy hips countering by Haines, and Haines gets around behind for the score. He adds a gutwrench, making it 4-0 Haines with a fresh start 5:07. Haines chases down a single leg and converts another score. Haines drives through a single leg, for two points, then goes head-in-the-hole leg lace finish, ending the match 10-0. Canada is challenging that Haines was caught on his back for either an exposure or a fall during the leg lace. Upon review, Leder will get a set of exposure points on the exchange, making the score 11-2 with 37 seconds left in the period. A restart in parterre, and Haines gets a gutwrench to clinch it, 13-2.


Cross-body, low-level takedown for Hidlay, 2-0. A knee pick from an over-under position gives Hidlay a step-out point, 3-0.  Hidlay chases down a right-side underhook for his second takedown of the match, 5-0. He’s right back to the underhook and gets another takedown with just over a minute to go in the period, 7-0. A single leg, backside trip finish for Hidlay makes it 9-0. Hidlay powers through an underhook, countering an arm spin attempt, for a final takedown with 17 seconds left in the first period.


Double leg from space for Burrell Jr to take the early 2-0 lead. An arm drag leads to a step out for Buchanan. A single leg trip going off the mat for Buchanan scores. Buchanan takes over the lead 3-2 at 4:20. Buchanan on the single, goes right into a lace for a couple turns. He pushes the lead to 9-2 with 50 seconds left in the period. A head outside single attempt for Buchanan, Burrell Jr cuts the corner, resulting in no points. Buchanan gets to a quad pod and adds a step out before the break to lead it 10-2. An underhook snap, go-behind takedown ends the match early in the second period.


Overhook throw attempt from Rosales Lacayo, Cronin works through an underhook finish to go up 2-0 early. Step out Rosales Lacayo, off a Cronin shot attempt. Cronin right back in on a sweep single leg, directly into a leg lace, and he ends from top, 11-1, in just under two minutes.


Tight front head pinch for Woods to go up 2-0 early. Hanna II put on the shot clock at 4:03. Point Woods on the activity time expiration. Woods leads 3-0 heading into the break. Two-on-one pressure from Woods leads to a takedown. It’s 5-0 Woods with 2:02 to go. Single leg from Woods, he lifts the leg and finds his way to a score. It’s 7-0 with 33 seconds left, blood time for Woods. Another front head pinch from Woods in the final moments brings the final score to 9-0.  


Lovett wins by medical forfeit and has his hand raised.


Cross-body ankle pick for Haines, directly into a trapped-arm gutwrench ends the match 10-0 in just over a minute.


Hidlay throws his right-side underhook by for a takedown in the first 45 seconds. Sweep single leg for Hidlay, Jones feeds his hips and drives Hidlay over his back to even the score at 2-2. Hidlay comes back with a step out, 3-2. Underhook throw by for another takedown, and Hidlay leads 5-2 at 4:23. Underhook-knee pick running off the mat for a big Hidlay four-pointer, making it 9-2 Hidlay. Snapdown, go-behind Hidlay, with a bow-and-arrow finish to get the pin with 16 seconds left in the period.


Sarco Colmenarez is put on the shot clock at 4:28 in a scoreless bout. Point to Buchanan once activity time expires. A timely double leg from space with a finish to the back going off the mat with four seconds left in the period to give Buchanan a 5-0 lead at the break. A knee pull single into a gutwrench puts Buchanan up 9-0 early in the second period. Buchanan gets caught underneath and is driven out of bounds for a step out point. A smooth double leg from Buchanan ends the match.


Hendrickson goes high-level, snatch single leg to grab the early 2-0 lead. He adds four gutwrenches to end the match 10-0 in 53 seconds.
