BUFFALO, NY – Four Broncs fought their way into the championship title matches following four rounds to put Rider University at the top of the team standings with 85.5 points at the 2025 Mid-American Conference Wrestling Championships on Friday in Buffalo, NY.The reigning East Division Champion Broncs will see Tyler Klinsky (125 lbs.), Will Betancourt (133 lbs.), Elijah Griffin (141 lbs.), and Enrique Munguia (174 lbs.) wrestle for a title on Saturday afternoon.
Wyatt Henson (Lock Haven) will look to defend his 141 lbs. title against Griffin, while teammate Lucas Kapusta (149 lbs.) will wrestle for his first title. The Bald Eagles sit in second place with 64.0 team points.
The reigning West Division Champion Cougars, currently in third place overall, will see Caleb Tyus (149 lbs.) and Bryson Buhk (285 lbs.) battle for their first individual titles.
The 2026 MAC Wrestling Championships will conclude on Saturday, March 7. The Consolation Quarterfinals (20 matches) will kick off the day’s schedule of events at 11:30 AM, followed by the Consolation Semifinals (20 matches) at 1:00 PM. The Championship Finals are set for 3:00 PM, along with the third- and fifth-place matches.
