Ivan Baulovic in the 10U, 59-pound freestyle championship at the 2026 USA Wrestling Kids Freestyle & Greco-Roman Nationals
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Ivan Baulovic swept the 10U Triple Crown Award and Outstanding Wrestler honors to headline Sunday’s champions at the 2026 USA Wrestling Kids Freestyle & Greco-Roman Nationals. Baulovic is one of nine wrestlers to win the Triple Crown Award on the final day of 10U and 12U freestyle competition.
Baulovic was incredible throughout the final two days of freestyle competition, earning four wins by technical fall in the 59-pound bracket. He never conceded a point throughout the weekend, in Greco-Roman or freestyle, and won his freestyle title in under 25 seconds.
In the 12U division, Preston O’Gorman was named the Outstanding Wrestler after capturing the title at 70 pounds. He opened his freestyle tournament with two technical falls and followed with upsets in the semifinals and finals, both of which were one-point victories.
Of Sunday’s nine Triple Crown Award winners, the 10U division featured Baulovic, Theseus Yang-Elson (53 pounds), Owen Truong (77 pounds) and Kal Thompson (84 pounds). Graham Dyson (67 pounds), John Cambra (74 pounds), Kaiden Galindez (78 pounds), Eli Armstrong (98 pounds) and Jaguar Madyun (135 pounds) won the award in the 12U division.
Truong notched an upset in his finals match with a 14-4 technical victory, highlighted by nine second-period points. Thompson also earned an upset in his first-place match, converting a takedown into a turn before pinning his opponent with one minute left on the clock.
Madyun allowed just one point through his freestyle competition and captured the title with three technical falls, two via shutout, and one pin. His quickest victory came in his freestyle opener, where he used an ankle pick for a four-point takedown and three turns for a 10-0 win.
Among Sunday’s 10U and 12U title winners, six wrestlers repeated after winning titles in 2025, including Yang-Elson, Cambra, Galindez, Javier Larson (56 pounds), Noah Estes (67 pounds) and AJ Puckett (71 pounds).
