Korbin Kiessling claims third consecutive Triple Crown Award, 8U and 14U freestyle champions crowned at Kids Freestyle & Greco-Roman Nationals

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Korbin Kiessling highlighted Saturday’s action at the 2026 USA Wrestling Kids Freestyle & Greco-Roman Nationals by earning his third consecutive Triple Crown Award and fourth overall, while champions were crowned in the 8U and 14U freestyle divisions. Six wrestlers – two in 8U and four in 14U – earned Triple Crown honors, and two others were named Outstanding Wrestlers after winning titles in their age groups.
Korbin Kiessling headlined Saturday’s Triple Crown Award list, earning the honor for the third straight year and fourth time overall. The 14U wrestler captured the 92-pound title after posting three technical falls and a pin in preliminary matches before closing with a 3-0 victory over Gabriel Jasso in the finals.
Bryken Dougan (40 pounds) and Everett Brown (70 pounds) earned 8U freestyle titles to secure their Triple Crown Awards. Joining Kiessling as 14U Triple Crown Award winners were Bennett Dawson (80 pounds), Marcarlo Mannello (110 pounds) and Kody Doran (175 pounds).
Demid Cheltsov earned 8U Outstanding Wrestler honors after winning the 56-pound title. He recorded four victories on the day, including two technical falls and a pin, before securing a 12-8 decision in the championship match.
Alex Leon was named the 14U Outstanding Wrestler after winning the 140-pound championship. He posted four victories, including three upsets, and capped the run with a 6-1 victory in the title match.
In the 10U division, four finalists remain in contention for the Triple Crown Award, while six semifinalists are eligible for the honor in the 12U division.
Sunday will conclude the 2026 USA Wrestling Kids Freestyle & Greco-Roman Nationals, with 10U and 12U freestyle competition beginning at 9 a.m. CT and continuing until champions are crowned in each weight class.
