Pennsylvania after winning the 2026 USA Wrestling 16U National Duals Greco-Roman championship in Farmington, Utah

FARMINGTON, Utah – Pennsylvania stormed to the Greco-Roman championship at the 2026 USA Wrestling 16U National Duals after going unbeaten in the tournament at Western Sports Park.

Following a 3-0 day on Wednesday in Pool A, top overall seed Pennsylvania went 4-0 on Thursday in the Gold/Silver Bracket to win the championship.

In a tightly contested first-place match for the national title, Pennsylvania and runner-up Wisconsin traded blows over the first half of the match. Through the first 10 bouts, Wisconsin held a 27-17 lead. However, Pennsylvania flexed its muscle down the stretch and won the next six matches before forfeiting the final contest, with the dual already secured, and claimed the title with a 41-34 victory.

Each of the 17 matches in the championship dual was a bonus victory. The only match that did not end by technical fall was the final match that was forfeited.

Pennsylvania had seven wrestlers go undefeated and collect at least five victories to earn All-Tournament Team accolades, which included: Michael Nicosia, Leonidas Murillo, Jack Stonebraker, Flynn Arnestad, Asher Bacon, Layden Acevedo and John Montgomery.

In the third-place match, California Gold outlasted Minnesota in a 40-32 contest. Illinois took down Washington, 43-29, to claim fifth. Iowa finished seventh after beating Colorado, 41-32.

30 additional teams battled in the Bronze/Copper, Red/Blue, Green/Yellow and Purple Brackets. Final placements for every color pool are listed below.

The 16U National Duals continue on Friday at 8 a.m. with the start of the men’s freestyle portion of the tournament. A complete schedule of events for this weekend’s tournament is available at usawrestlingevents.com.
