U.S. Crowns Seven Champions, Greco-Roman Team Title At 2026 U15 Pan American Championships

MEXICO CITY – Team USA rounded out the 2026 U15 Pan American Championships with a seven-champion effort and a team title in Greco-Roman on Saturday at the Mexican Olympic Committee Sports Complex.


Securing gold medals for the U.S. were Matthew Campos of California at 38 kg, Jace Rooney of New York at 41 kg, Maurice Worthy of New Jersey at 48 kg, Walker Martin of Pennsylvania at 52 kg, Jarron Beltran of Arizona at 57 kg, Julian Smith of New Jersey at 75 kg and Spencer Davern of Ohio at 85 kg.


Six completed the double title in Mexico City after winning the men’s freestyle tournament on Thursday before tacking on Greco-Roman gold—Campos, Rooney, Worth, Beltran, Smith and Davern.


Being awarded the Golden Boot as outstanding wrestler in Greco-Roman was Rooney, who picked up a pair of pins and two technical falls on his route to gold. He finished off his event with an 8-0 win over Jesus Valdez Torres of Mexico in the gold medal match.


Three others—Campos, Worthy and Smith—also won gold medals with bonus-point victories in every match wrestled. Worthy and Smith did not surrender a single match point to the opposition.


Bronze medal winners for the U.S. included Cade Ruckle of Nevada at 44 kg and Tristyn Ulloa of Texas at 62 kg. Finishing in seventh place was Xander Fronhofer of California at 68 kg. Ulloa and Fronhofer were gold medalists in men’s freestyle, while Ruckle was a silver medalist.


The U.S. men tallied up a 29-5 combined record with seven pins and 17 technical falls in Greco-Roman competition.


Team USA captured its third of three team titles at the event in the Olympic styles with 213 points. Mexico finished in second place with 180 points. Puerto Rico rounded out the top three with 90 points.
