U.S. Women Sweep Gold Medals, Bonus All Opponents At 2026 U15 Pan American Championships

MEXICO CITY – It doesn’t get more dominant than the performance put forth by the U.S. women’s freestyle team on Friday at the 2026 U15 Pan American Championships.

Team USA reeled in gold medals in all 10 weight classes during the competition held at the Mexican Olympic Committee Sports Complex. The kicker—every match was won by either pin or technical fall (excluding forfeits).

Gold medalists for the U.S. were Mila Sebolt of Iowa at 33 kg, Freyda Nelson of Minnesota at 36 kg, Julianna LaSavage of Wisconsin at 39 kg, Jaelyn Anderson of Nebraska at 42 kg, Olivia Hernandez of Oregon at 46 kg, Bella Manno of Arizona at 50 kg, Harper Schwettman of Colorado at 54 kg, Lauren Samuel of North Carolina at 58 kg, Mila Mantanona of California at 62 kg and Emma Antoni of Minnesota at 66 kg.

Pinning their way through the event were Nelson, Hernandez and Antoni. All 11 pins recorded by this trio came in the first period. Manno posted 10-0 technical falls on her way to the title, mere days after winning first place in Fargo.

Four athletes repeated as champions—LaSavage, Anderson, Hernandez and Manno. Anderson was presented the Golden Boot Award as the outstanding wrestler in women's freestyle.

The U.S. women tallied up a 35-0 combined record with 21 pins, 12 technical falls and two forfeits.

Team USA outpaced the field in the team standings with the maximum 250 points. Mexico finished in second place with 179 points. Colombia rounded out the top three with 84 points.

Wrestling continues at 10 a.m. local time on Saturday with the Greco-Roman competition. Mexico City is one hour behind U.S. Eastern Time.
