Medlin, Rundell, Cressell Among Junior Greco-Roman Finalists At 2026 U.S. Marine Corps Junior Nationals

FARGO, N.D. – The Greco-Roman finals have been set following the Wednesday morning session of the 2026 U.S. Marine Corps Junior Nationals held at the FARGODOME, with Wyatt Medlin of Illinois the lone returning Junior champion in position to repeat.
Before the 157-pound semifinals against Daniel Acosta of Texas, Medlin notched five technical falls without giving up a match point. Acosta broke the shutout streak, but Medlin still advanced by a 5-3 decision to make his third-straight Junior Greco-Roman final, and fifth overall Fargo final. He will face Jacob Morris of Alaska in tonight’s championship round, which is set for 5:30 p.m. (CT).
Outside of Medlin, the only other returning champ in the mix on Wednesday was his Illinois teammate Kaleb Pratt at 132 pounds. Pratt was topped by Jamiel Castleberry, also of Illinois, in the semifinals, 3-1.
2025 U17 World medalist Michael Rundell of Illinois has been untouchable on his way to the 120-pound finals. He has gathered six wins by technical fall to this point, while outscoring his opponents by a combined 51-0 score. Standing opposite Rundell this evening is familiar foe Ray Long of Illinois.
Iowa’s Waylon Cressell, who won Junior freestyle earlier this week, is one win away from becoming the 10th wrestler to win a USA Wrestling Triple Crown in the Junior Boys division since the program began 20 years ago. Three technical falls this morning pushed Cressell to the finals against returning All-American Victor Marks-Jenkins of Maryland. Neither man has surrendered a point so far in the tournament.
Another Iowan has a chance to double up with freestyle and Greco-Roman titles in the Junior division—Ty Martin at 106 pounds. Martin is up against Dakota Harmer of Michigan, who was seventh in freestyle, in the finals.
Nebraska’s Cruzer Dominguez had quite the run this morning at 126 pounds with technical fall wins over 2024 U17 World Team member Loc Webber of Ohio and 2025 U20 Greco-Roman World Team Trials runner-up Titan Friederichs of Minnesota. It’ll be 2024 Junior Greco-Roman finalist Isaiah Jones of Oklahoma in the finals for Dominguez.
Returning runner-up Ladd Holman of Utah is back in the finals, this time at 215 pounds. As is last year’s 16U Greco-Roman champion Ivan Ivanov of Idaho at 175 pounds.
