Day 5 Preview: Shifting To Greco-Roman, 10 Seeking Double Fargo Titles

FARGO, N.D. – After a day off the FARGODOME mats, we now turn our attention to the classic style of Greco-Roman wrestling at the 2026 U.S. Marine Corps Junior Nationals.

Greco-Roman takes flight on Tuesday with the Juniors owning the mat at 8 a.m. (CT) and the 16U athletes following at 3:30 p.m. (CT). Both divisions will wrestle up to the round-of-16 on the championship side, plus four rounds of consolation matches.

After weigh-ins were completed, the total number of Greco-Roman entries hit 2,552, with 1,294 in the Junior division and 1,258 in the 16U division.

Five athletes were eligible for the USA Wrestling Triple Crown Award after winning the men’s freestyle tournament on Sunday. Only three have tossed their name in the hat for the third, and perhaps toughest, leg of the Triple Crown.
