Ivan Baulovic (West Chester, Ohio/Hobbs Elite) has been named USA Wrestling Athlete of the Week.

Baulovic captured the Triple Crown this past weekend at the USA Wrestling Kids Freestyle & Greco-Roman Nationals after winning the 59-pound weight class in the 10U division in both disciplines.

Before this weekend, Baulovic won the national title at Kids Folkstyle Nationals in January to start his run to the Triple Crown.

This weekend, Baulovic bonused his way to a pair of national titles and did not surrender a point across his seven matches.

Starting action in Greco-Roman competition, he outscored his opponents 26-0, and each of his matches ended in the first 45 seconds.

Transitioning to freestyle over the final two days of the three-day event in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Baulovic notched four technical fall victories. He capped off the tournament with a 23-second, 10-0 technical fall in the championship match.

Along with winning the Triple Crown for claiming national titles in folkstyle, freestyle and Greco-Roman, Baulovic was named Outstanding Wrestler in freestyle for the 8U division. This is his second Outstanding Wrestler honor at a USA Wrestling national event after collecting the accolade at Kids Folkstyle Nationals earlier this year.

To nominate a wrestler for this honor, please email the athlete’s name, wrestling program, weekly accomplishments and career accolades to communications@usawrestling.org.
