Kazakhstan is challenging the sequence. The call stands, point to James for a lost challenge, making it 11-2. Low-level Seilbekov, James counters with a barrel roll. It’s called 2-2, keeping a nine-point margin, 13-4 at 0:34. James cruises to the finish.

Boyle earns a step out at 5:36, 1-0. Another step out by Boyle at 4:59, 2-0. Boyle drives through a shot off the mat at 4:49, 3-0. Tsarikaev hit for fleeing as well, making it 4-0. Right-side underhook, Boyle forces Tsarikaev out again, 5-0. Tsarikaev had an over-under body lock, Boyle shucks him off and forces another step out, 6-0 at 4:07. Right-side underhook, step out for Boyle at 3:53, 7-0. Over-under body lock desperation throw by Tsarikaev and Boyle catches him for the pin at 3:23.

Dursunov warned for passivity at 3:24. Dursunov leads 1-0 at the break. Dursunov goes on the shot clock at 2:28. The clock expires, and we are tied up, 1-1. Cortez forcing it at this point, gives up another counter takedown. 8-2 Magomedov with 21 seconds left. Cortez adds a takedown at the buzzer. It’s an 8-4 Magomedov final.

Osedo in on a single leg, Bassett covers the head, Osedo tries a back-door finish, Bassett dives for the ankles, stalemate. Good scramble. Osedo warned for passivity at 4:29. Osedo on the shot clock at 4:06. Shot clock expires, point to Bassett, 1-0. Head in the hole for Bassett, he tries to drive out of bounds, but Osedo circles in. No points. Yergali warned for passivity at 3:31. Yergali leads it 1-0 at the break. Yergali goes on the shot clock at 2:26. Yergali gets an underhook and drives Mastny off the mat, nullifying the shot clock, and adding a point, 2-0. Plenty of time to work. Step out for Mastny at 0:28, 2-1. Mastny grabs a single leg and converts with nine seconds left to get the clutch 3-2 win.

Togoev throws a hook by into a single leg and adds three gutwrenches. Mastny reverses on the final gutwrench to make it 8-1 Togoev. Togoev reverses a Mastny gutwrench attempt, making it 10-1 at 3:56. Mastny gets a single leg takedown at 3:37. He reels off nine gutwrenches in a row to win the match 21-10 at 3:02. Russia is challenging. The challenge is lost, and Mastny wins, 22-10.

Abalaki warned for passivity at 5:10. Robideau has been all over Abalaki early with front headlock pressure. Snapdown, go-behind for Robideau at 4:50, 2-0. Injury time Abalaki at 4:27. Two points from Robideau from snap, single leg, and one point Abalaki from step out on the exchange. The step out was not confirmed, making the score 4-0. Georgia challenges the call at 3:53. The challenge is won, and it’s now 2-1. Robideau gets back on the attack and notches another takedown at 3:38. It’s Robideau 4-1 at the break. Robideau grabs a go-behind takedown right out of the gate, 6-1. Snap, go-behind for Robideau at 2:32, 8-1.  Robideau passes ties, goes double leg and drives out-of-bounds for four points. He takes it 12-1 at 2:18.

Outside fireman’s to the back for James. Vokal recovers and James adds a gutwrench, making it 4-0 at 5:37. Underhook to a single leg, backside finish for James. It’s 6-0 at 5:18. James goes single leg, elevates, and runs it off the mat for a step out point at 4:49. Pass by to a body lock, rear standing, four-point gut finish, and James ends it 11-0 at 4:35.

Outside single leg with a cutback finish for Ross. He adds four gutwrenches, ending it 10-0 in 33 seconds.

Robideau warned for passivity at 5:06. Altangerel warned for passivity at 4:38. Robideau on the shot clock at 4:00. Point to Altangerel from the shot clock. Robideau breaks through the head-hands defense of Altangerel for his first takedown, now up 2-1 at 3:17. It’s 2-1 Robideau at the break. Altangerel put on the shot clock at 2:19. Altangerel in deep on a single leg, Robideau rolls him through right as the shot clock expires. The scoreboard reads 5-1 for Robideau. Mongolia challenges. The call is reversed to a 2-2 exchange, nullifying the shot clock point. The score is 4-3 Robideau with 1:30 to go. A swing single leg score for Robideau. He tacks on a gutwrench for good measure. The lead is 8-3 Robideau with just over a minute remaining. Altangerel presses and gets a go-behind with 35 seconds left, 8-5. Robideau counters an Altangerel shot, re-attack takedown at 0:11, out of bounds. It should be 10-5 Robideau, but the officials are conferring. 10-5 confirmed. Mongolia challenges again. On video review, Robideau close to stepping out, but doesn’t. The call stands, and it’s 11-5 Robideau. Altangerel goes for a desperation chest wrap and gives up the takedown and a pin at 5:59.

Perentin in on a single leg, out the back door, James kicks out of it. James warned for passivity at 4:44. James goes on the shot clock at 4:12. James snaps, throws a hook by for a takedown. It’s 2-0 at 3:38, and stands until the break. James goes single leg, gathers the double for two points. Perentin reverses James with exposure and adds a trapped arm turn. James reverses Perentin to end the sequence. The score is 5-5 James at 1:31. Perentin attacks late. James throws the shot by with nine seconds left to win it 7-5.

Snap, single leg, go-behind Ross in the first 20 seconds to lead 2-0. Ross blasts in, to a body lock, and plants Izakhar on his back off the mat for four points. A blast double off the whistle for Ross, takedown and a lace ends it 10-0 in 55 seconds.  

Robideau warned for passivity at 5:09. Merov pushes Robideau out of bounds at 4:45, 1-0. Robideau goes on the shot clock at 4:13. Point Merov from the shot clock, 2-0. It’s 2-0 Merov at the break. Outside, low-level single leg for Robideau, gathers both ankles and gets the finish. It’s 2-2 at 2:08. Single leg Robideau 20 seconds later, 4-2. He seems to have found something. Robideau drives Merov out from front headlock at 1:14, 5-2. Merov drives Robideau out at 0:47. They also hit Robideau with a caution and gave Merov a point, 5-4. Single leg for Robideau with 35 seconds left ends it, 7-4.

Crafty takedown from James to start the match. Single leg, head pops opposite side, score for James. He splits the legs and adds an exposure, making it 6-0 at 5:01. Counterattack, single leg for James. It’s 8-0 at 4:41. James ends it 10-0 at 4:18 with a final re-attack takedown.

Boyle warned for passivity at 5:09. A single leg for Boyle, elevates, backside trip, quad pod, takedown. It’s 2-0 at 4:33. Boyle drives through a step out, 3-0 at 4:11. Hip-tip from the front, Leibowitz cuts into the lead, 3-2. Boyle up 5-2 at 3:25 from another high single takedown. In-and-out action, Boyle finds a single leg, cuts it back, goes into a lace, and he’s up 9-2 at the break. Boyle in on a shot, Leibowitz goes out of bounds, 10-2 at 2:32. Boyle single leg to seat belt, drives out of bounds for another step out at 2:21. Counterattack Boyle ends it 13-2 at 1:27.

Go-behind Ross off an Abramishvili attack, 2-0 at 5:27. Abramishvili steps out for another Ross point, 3-0. Go-behind Ross at 5:00, 5-0. Ross catches a low level, elevates and trips back side for a 7-0 lead. Ross back in on a double, runs Abramishvili off the mat, 8-0. Re-attack Ross, planting Abramishvili on his back at 3:49, ends it 12-0.
