Senior Greco-Roman division added to Phil Portuese Northeast Regional in Pocono Manor, Pa.

USA Wrestling has added a Senior Greco-Roman division to its 2026 Phil Portuese Northeast Regional Championships, which is set for May 8-10 at Kalahari Resorts in Pocono Manor, Pennsylvania.

The Senior Greco-Roman tournament will be contested on May 8, the first day of wrestling in Pocono Manor, and is open to all Senior-level eligible athletes. This division was added to increase the number of domestic competitions offered to U.S. Greco-Roman athletes.

Online registration is open through 5 p.m. (ET) on May 7. On-site registration is also available for an increased cost. Athletes are encouraged to register early and secure a room in the competition hotel block before April 21.

In addition to the Senior Greco-Roman division, the Northeast Regional will feature a U23 division for men’s and women’s freestyle, plus freestyle and Greco-Roman tournaments in the USA Wrestling Junior, 16U, 14U, 12U, 10U and 8U age groups.

The top six placers in the Junior and 16U tournaments qualify for the 2026 U.S. Marine Corps Junior Nationals in Fargo, N.D.
