LaSavage, Anderson, Hernandez earn U15 repeats, Schwettman named OW at USA Wrestling Women’s Nationals

U15 division champions at the 2026 USA Wrestling Women’s Nationals.
SPOKANE, Washington – A trio of returning champions—Julianna LaSavage (39 kg), Jaelyn Anderson (42 kg) and Olivia Hernandez (46 kg)—earned back-to-back national titles in the U15 division on Friday evening at the 2026 USA Wrestling Women’s Nationals.
LaSavage and Hernandez were both dominant in the championship finals at The Podium, each earning technical falls. It was a different story for Anderson, who had to overcome an early six-point deficit to Harper Formanek and squeak out a 7-6 win for the repeat.
The 10 U15 champions from Spokane have qualified to compete for Team USA at the 2026 Pan American Championships in Mexico City, Mexico, this July.
A fourth returning champion, Bella Manno, was upended by Isla Silva in the 50 kg finals on criteria, 4-4. Manno had pitched four 10-0 shutouts prior to the finals match against Silva.
54 kg champion Harper Schwettman was named the U15 Outstanding Wrestler following a 16-6 technical fall against Rio Rening in the championship match. She ended the tournament with three pins and two technical falls in five matches.
Also earning bonus-point wins in the finals were 58 kg champion Lauren Samuel and 62 kg champion Mila Mantanona. Samuel went 10-0 over Rachel Garcia, while Mantanona pinned Catherine Diehl in 50 seconds.
Rounding out the list of champions were Mila Sebolt at 33 kg, Freyda Nelson at 36 kg and Emma Antoni at 66 kg.
The USA Wrestling Women’s Nationals continues at 10 a.m. (PT) on Saturday with the start of the U23 and U17 divisions, which are expected to wrestle through the quarterfinals. The 14U, 12U, 10U and 8U age-groups are back as well, this time in Greco-Roman.
