U.S. delegation second in total medal count at World Championships with six; Russia starts last day with eight

The U.S. team is in second place in total medals at the World Championships in Budapest, Hungary as the last day of competition begins, October 2.

With two bronze medals in freestyle to go along with three bronze medals and a gold in women's freestyle, the U.S. team is guaranteed to bring home at least six medals. The U.S. and Japan (six medals) currently trail only Russia (eight medals) in the medal count.

The following is a rundown of the top ten delegations leading into the last day:

3. USA - 6
4. China - 5
5. Cuba - 5
6. Hungary - 5
7. Bulgaria - 4
