1. Simon Fraser
2. Calgary
3. Brock
4. Regina
5. Western
6. Alberta
7. Memorial
8. Guelph
9. Lakehead
10. McGill

Note: The following commentary was included in the ranking press release:

The battle for the number 1 ranking will go all year long between returning Champions Simon Fraser and the University of Calgary. Simon Fraser has National Champions all the way through their line up. Calgary does as well, plus a solid addition from below the border. Brock remains near the top with Megan Dolan, former National Team member, returning to the CIS. Regina is the sleeper. Great recruiting from the States as well as across the country makes it look as though Regina is moving up. Rounding out the top 5 is Western. Honorable mention goes to Alberta who has added World Cup Team member, Erica Sharp, as well as to Memorial University, who will have solid representation at the CIS Championships.
