USA Wrestling Folkstyle Events

USA Wrestling's folkstyle events are set for the 2011-2012 season! Be sure to add these events to your club calendars for the coming year. Several of these events sold out last year, so please be aware of the registration open dates.

Our season kicks off with the 4th year of USA Wrestling's Preseason Nationals, in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Last year this event brought in over 800 high school wrestlers. The event sold out quickly last year, so don't wait to sign up for this one. Registration opens September 1st.

USA Wrestling is proud to be bringing back the Folkstyle Tour of America for a 5th season. We have four returning events in the series, the Northwest Bigfoot Battle in Washington, the Salt Lake Slam in Utah, the Georgia Grind in Georgia, and the Dominate in the Dells in Wisconsin. We had a record number of participants in the Tour of America last year, and are looking forward to another great season.

The Girls Folkstyle Nationals takes place March 23-25 at the Freede Center at Oklahoma City University. Last year this event brought in wrestlers from 30 states, and featured the best female wrestlers in the country from 1st grade through high school. Registration opens January 1st.

All roads lead to Cedar Falls, Iowa the last weekend in March for the 2012 ASICS USAW Folkstyle Nationals. Last year we had over 2,300 wrestlers from 39 states competing. This is not only the first step to completing USA Wrestling's Triple Crown, but in the Junior division, the top two (2) place winners in each weight class qualify for funded access to the United States Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Set your reminders, registration for this highly competitive event opens January 1st.
