Hawkeyes To Hold Open Practices



IOWA CITY, IA -- The defending national champion University of Iowa wrestling team will have open practices the next two Saturdays (October 21 and 28) from 9-11 a.m. in the Dan Gable Wrestling Complex in Carver-Hawkeye Arena. The Hawkeyes will also host their annual wrestle-offs Saturday, November 11 on the floor of Carver-Hawkeye Arena, at a time to be announced. Head Coach Jim Zalesky and the Hawkeyes open the season Friday, November 24 against Luther and Loras College in Maquoketa, IA. Iowa will host the 2001 NCAA Wrestling Championships, March 15-17 in Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
