COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Three wrestlers earned Challenge Tournament titles to advance to the finals of the Women’s World Team Wrestle-Offs on Saturday at Palmer High School.

Victoria Anthony (51 kg/112.25 lbs.), Erin Clodgo (59 kg/130 lbs.) and Jackie Cataline (67 kg/147.5 lbs.) won the Challenge Tournament in women’s freestyle on Saturday.

U.S. Open champions Jessica Medina (51 kg), Alli Ragan (59 kg) and Veronica Carlson (67 kg) already have clinched spots in the best-of-3 finals by virtue of their wins at the Open. They will face the Challenge Tournament winners in the finals.

The finals are set for 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

Anthony bumped up a weight after placing second at June’s U.S. World Team Trials. Clodgo dropped a weight class after placing second at the Trials and Cataline also moved down after finishing third at the Trials.

Champions qualify to represent the United States at the World Championship on Sept. 16-22 in Budapest, Hungary.
