A standard auto insurance policy with Liberty Mutual Insurance covers a lot – including liability, collision and personal injury protection. But you will need comprehensive coverage to protect your vehicle if it’s stolen or damaged by anything Other Than Collision, including fire, windstorm, earthquake, hail and yes, vandalism. Your deductible does still apply.
If the windshield on your van has been shattered, our comprehensive or glass coverage will protect you (subject to applicable deductible). You can even arrange for windshield repair or replacement service at your home or office if you’d like. A quality repair or replacement is always guaranteed.

Before you look into repairing or replacing your damaged windshield, you need to figure out how to get the team back home. Especially if the damage includes something more serious.
With our optional 24-Hour Roadside Assistance coverage, you’ll never have to worry about being stranded. From a jump start to a tow, 24-Hour Roadside Assistance will get you moving again – at any time of the day or night.
With this coverage, you can call our dedicated number any time and receive assistance. This coverage requires purchase of towing and labor coverage.
In addition, if you’ve purchased towing and labor coverage, Liberty Mutual Insurance will pay for your charges in one of three ways:
• When you allow your car to be towed to the nearest repair facility (as determined by Liberty Mutual Insurance), we will pay the entire towing charge. Simply sign the bill without paying anything up front.
• If you prefer to have your car towed to a repair facility other than the nearest repair facility, we will pay the towing charges up to your policy limits.
• If a tow is not necessary to get you back on the road, Liberty Mutual Insurance will pay for the labor charges up to your policy limits.
