FARGO, N.D. – Four wrestlers with USA Wrestling Triple Crown aspirations remained on course to capture that prestigious title in the Cadet division.

Wisconsin’s Hunter Marko (94 pounds), California’s Aaron Pico (132), Texas’ Bo Nickal (160) and Minnesota’s Lance Benick (195) remained unbeaten after the second day of the Cadet Nationals freestyle tournament on Thursday at the Fargo Dome.

Those wrestlers already own Cadet Nationals titles in Folkstyle and Greco-Roman wrestling this year.

Minnesota’s Mitchell McKee, another wrestler who was bidding for a Triple Crown, dropped his second bout at 106 and was eliminated. He moved up a weight class after winning a Cadet Greco title at 100.

Oklahoma’s Joe Smith, son of Oklahoma State coach John Smith, remained unbeaten at 120 pounds.

Arkansas wrestler Tyler Mann became his state's first Fargo All-American by clinching a top-four spot at 160.

One wrestler has already qualified for the championship finals, Devin Schnupp of Pennsylvania at 88 pounds. Schnupp was the Cadet Greco-Roman champion on Tuesday.

Cadets are wrestlers who are ages 15 and 16.

Cadets resume wrestling at 9 a.m. Friday. The Cadet finals are set for 2 p.m. Friday in Fargo.
