Highlighting this year’s event will be Coach Bill Lam as the Featured speaker Saturday, August 7th at noon. The most successful coach in the history of North Carolina wrestling history has turned his passion towards motivating others whether that be in the workplace or in athletics. Gould partnered with the NWCA in 2008 to aid in the development of the Coaching Education Programs and the NWCA Leadership Academy.

The featured clinicians are Rob Koll of Cornell University and Pat Santoro of Lehigh University, both coaches have produced many talented college wrestlers along with promoting their teams to the community.

Coach Koll has been at the helm of the Cornell program for the past 16 years, a former NCAA Champion and National Coach of the Year recipient. He has brought the Cornell program to new heights during his tenure. Koll has also been an integral part of the NWCA Coaching Leadership Academy where he has served as a mentor.

Coach Santoro is entering his third season as the head coach at Lehigh University. He has been awarded the NWCA Assistant Coach of the Year award, along with being named ACC Coach of the Year.

Virginia Tech head coach Kevin Dresser will be a featured guest speaker for this year’s scholastic convention. Not only has Dresser begun to experience success at the collegiate level, but he built a name for himself in coaching when he built the Grundy High School (VA) and Christiansburg High School (VA) programs into powerhouses. In his ten years at Christiansburg he won the State AA title five times and claimed second place three times.
