| USA Wrestling updates sanctioned Grappling event schedule |

The spring season is here and the USA Wrestling Grappling schedule begins to pick up action with sanctioned events in California, Illinois and Hawaii.
California USA Wrestling has committed to hosting Grappling tournaments alongside their existing Freestyle and Greco Roman events in order to develop this new style.
Xtreme Couture MMA in Chicago, Illinois will be hosting events at Wright College throughout the year in an effort to grow the sport in that region.
These events will serve as warm-ups for those athletes who will be trying out for the Grappling World Team and also a good opportunity for first-time Grapplers of all ages.
USA Wrestling will also be announcing the Grappling World Team Trials Qualifying Series and World Team Trials in the near future to add to the existing calendar of events.
Many other states are considering Grappling events this year, and USA Wrestling will post updated schedules as these tournaments are sanctioned.

All wrestlers are encouraged to attend USA Wrestling Grappling events. It is a great opportunity to become part of the new Grappling program at USA Wrestling.
