The second annual USA Wrestling Beach National Championships and World Team Trials will serve as the qualifying event for the U.S. team that will compete in the 2007 World Beach Wrestling Championships, set for Antalya, Turkey, Sept. 7-9.

In addition to a Senior level competition for men and women, there will also be a number of age-group divisions included in the tournament.

The dates for the 2007 USA Wrestling Beach Nationals and World Team Trials must fall between the six weekends between May 25 and July 15. This will provide enough time for USA Wrestling to organize and prepare the U.S. team that will compete at the World Championships.

The first USA Wrestling Beach National Championships and World Team Trials was held in Palm Beach County, Fla. during August 2006 and was a major success.

The United States placed second in the men's competition and third in the women's division at the 2006 World Beach Wrestling Championships, led by individual bronze medalists Ray Downey, Angelo Borzio and Leigh Jaynes.
