TheMat.com posts free instruction video download on defense against reverse lift from National Coach Ike Anderson

(This video will take several minutes to download depending on your connection speed)

TheMat.com has posted a free technique instruction video on effective defense from the bottom position against the reverse lift, presented by USA Wrestling National Greco-Roman Developmental Coach Ike Anderson.

In a six-minute presentation, Anderson teaches three very simple and effective techniques for the bottom athlete to stop the reverse lift position. In Greco-Roman, this position is a part of every period, where each athlete gets 30 seconds from the top to attempt to score on the opponent.

Anderson displays three moves from the bottom that can effectively stop the reverse lift. All three of these moves are techniques that are also commonly used in freestyle and folkstyle wrestling.

In addition to the technique instruction, there is a short segment at the start of the video that shows the proper starting positions for the par terre position (mat position) in Greco-Roman under the new rules.

This is a video for download and is a Quicktime file. Quicktime Player is needed for the video to be viewed.
