Semifinal playoff pairings determined after 10th week of Iranian Professional Wrestling League

The semifinal pairings for the championship playoffs have been determined at the conclusion of the 10th week of the Iranian Professional Wrestling League. The regular season has ended and only four teams move on to the championship rounds.

In the semifinals, Pas (Tehran), the champions of Pool B, will face Joybar loleh (Mazandaran), which was second in Pool A. The other semifinal will feature Naft (Tehran), the champions of Pool A, against Payam Ertebatat (Mazandaran), which was second in Pool B.

The semifinals and finals are set for Wednesday, January 5, to determine the league champions. The semifinals will be held in the morning, with the finals in the afternoon.

There were four dual meets hosted during the final week of the season. Both of the first place teams, Naft from Pool A and Pas from Pool B, won their final bouts. Naft dominated Isfahan, 21-6, winning seven of the eight bouts. Pas stopped Kargaran, 16-14, winning the first five weight classes but losing the final three to make the bout close.

The other two duals of the week featured Javanan defeating the Army Team 17-14, and Tamin Ejtemayi beating Joybar loleh, 19-13. Payam Ertebatat had a bye during the 10th week and did not compete.

There was also a forfeit win by Mehregan over Rah Ahan, as Rah Ahan withdrew from the league two weeks ago.

There were no foreign wrestlers in action during week 10 of the Iranian league, as all of the competitors came from Iran this week.
