Koscheck of Edinboro named EWL Wrestler of the Week

The EWL "WRESTLER OF THE WEEK" for the week ended February 4, 2001 Josh Koscheck of  Edinboro University Our Eastern Wrestling League "Wrestler of the Week" for the week ended February 4, 2001, is Edinboro University junior JOSH KOSCHECK, from Waynesburg, Pennsylvania. At the 2001 NWCA All-Star Meet (held 1/29 at F&M) top-ranked Koscheck hammered number two ranked Otto Olson of Michigan 6-1. Josh racked up two takedowns, one escape and also 4:50 in riding time for the sixth bout point. Koscheck, who wrestles at 174 pounds, is undefeated on the season. Further we take this opportunity to give a tip of the headgear to three other of our EWL wrestlers who were honored by the NWCA by being selected to compete in the All-Star Meet. They are: Sean Gray (141) of Virginia Tech, JaMarr Billman (149) of Lock Haven, and Josh Pearce (285) of Edinboro. All three of these warriors lost close matches to highly ranked opponents, but they all wrestled very well, and were a tribute to our Eastern Wrestling League in this national showcase event.
