Free Clinic with Eric Akin & Jason Powell in Paola, Kansas, Saturday August 27

USA Wrestling members are invited to Paola, Kansas Saturday, August 27th for a free wrestling clinic starting at noon.

The clinic, open to all ages, will offer wrestlers the chance to learn from two of America's best freestyle wrestlers at the 55 kg/121 lbs. weight class.

Eric Akin has been a perennial fixture on USA Wrestling's National Team finishing again this year at second place, losing only to former World Champion Sammie Henson in the finals at the June World Team Trials in Ames.

Jason Powell, a Choctaw, Oklahoma native, wrestled for the University of Nebraska and finished his senior year as an NCAA Champion by scoring a tech-fall over his opponent in the finals of the championships.

The free clinic offered by Akin and Powell will also give wrestlers, parents, and coaches to learn about the Matside Wrestling Academy program run by Akin. For more information about the Matside Academy visit www.ericakin.com.
