ASICS 2005 East Coast Beach Nationals has been posted as a webcast on Live Sports

Watch the ASICS 2005 East Coast National Beach Wrestling Championships, the first national-level beach wrestling tournament held in the United States, "On Demand" starting on Saturday, August 20 at 9:00 a.m.

Seven different videos have been posted, allowing fans to watch the action when it is convenient for them. The event was taped live, and has been edited for your enjoyment. Included in the coverage are:

The Beach competition had an excellent turnout , with over 215 entries and thousands of spectators watching all the skillful wrestling. Those who were not there can join the fun in the sun by visiting

Men wear athletic swimming trunks and women wear a one or two piece bathing suit. Athletes wrestle on a sand surface, with a 20-foot diameter circle marked in the sand. Matches start in the standing position and last three minutes. This is the newest international style of wrestling, and something that is expected to get more popular as people get a chance to get involved.
