Eligibility to compete/coach at the 2010 Sunkist Kids International Open

Please note that USA Wrestling's 2010-2011 membership year begins Wednesday, September 1st, 2010. Visit www.usawmembership.com to renew an old membership or print out a current membership card. Secondary sports accident insurance is provided as a benefit of membership.

Men: Athletes born in 1990 or before, with proof of current USA Wrestling membership are eligible to compete. Athletes born 1991-1992 may compete if they provide a witten statement from a medical professional, on his/her printed stationary, attesting that the athlete is of sufficient physical and emotional maturity to participate at this level.

Women: Athletes born in 1990 or before, with proof of current USA Wrestling membership are eligible to compete. Athletes born 1991-1993 may compete if they provide a written statement from a medical professional, on his/her printed stationary, attesting that the athlete is of sufficient physical and emotional maturity to participate at this level.

Coaches: All coaches must have completed a background check and have proof of current USA Wrestling Coaches Membership in order to gain access to the competition area. Both of these steps can be completed by visiting www.usawmembership.com. Please allow up to THREE WEEKS for background check to be completed.

In addition to the background check and the USAW Coaches Membership Card, coaches at this event must be a minimum BRONZE certified.

World Team Trials Qualifier

Wrestlers, who meet the U.S. citizenship requirements necessary for representing the USA in the World Championships and are the Champion of the 2010 Sunkist Kids International Open, qualify for the 2011 World Team Trials.
