    All athletes who meet age group requirements, any existing state qualifying procedures and are current members of USA Wrestling are eligible to participate. All athletes and coaches must present proof of current USA Wrestling Membership Card at registration. To purchase a USAW Wrestling Membership Card, please click HERE. Alternatively, Membership Cards can be acquired from the State Chairperson or State Membership Director of the contestant’s state of residence. Secondary sports accident insurance is provided as a benefit of membership. Just a reminder, all USA Wrestling Coaches Membership Cards MUST be attained prior to the event, due to mandatory background checking. For a Coaches Membership Card, please click HERE. PLEASE ALLOW UP TO 30 DAYS FOR COMPLETION OF USAW COACHES MEMBERSHIP/BACKGROUND CHECK PROCESS. Qualification University Division: In the Greco-Roman and Men’s Freestyle Divisions, finalists (7 Olympic Weight Classes ONLY) qualify for the 2009 World Team Trials. In the Women’s Freestyle Division, finalists qualify for the 2009 World Team Trials. For more information regard the 2009 World Team Trials (held in Council Bluffs, IA; May 30-31, 2009) please visit www.TheWorldTeamTrials.com. For more information regarding qualification for the 2009 World Team Trials, please click HERE. FILA Cadet Division: Top three place winners at this event qualify for your state’s Cadet National Championship (in Fargo, ND; July 18—25, 2009) teams above the state limit (only in the style in which you qualify). Athletes must still adhere to all state policies and you qualify in the style in which you place. Tours and Camps University Women’s Freestyle: July 6-18, 2009. Champions (FILA Weight Classes only) are eligible to participate at the Grand Prix of Spain. Champions who are interested in this tour must contact Shannyn Gillespie (USOEC Women’s Freestyle Head Coach) by May 8th. Contact Coach Gillespie either by e-mail at sgillesp@nmu.edu, or by phone at (906) 227-1285. If the champion in any eligible weight class of the University Women’s Freestyle Division chooses not to participate in the Grand Prix of Spain Tour and Camp, the second place finisher shall have the option to train for and compete in the Grand Prix of Spain Tour and Camp. This process shall continue until a representative for the World Team is determined in each eligible weight class. Participants in all non-FILA weight classes contested at the National Championships are ineligible for the Grand Prix of Spain Tour and Camp. Below is the proposed schedule for the Grand Prix of Spain Tour and Camp: 1) June 27–July 2, 2009: Pre-Grand Prix of Spain camp: United States Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO 2) July 6–July 12, 2009: Grand Prix of Spain Tour and Camp: Madrid, Spain. Competition to be held on July 11-12, 2009.
