Membership Requirements

Eligibility
All coaches and athletes (except foreign delegates) must be current USA Wrestling members to participate in the 2009 Dave Schultz Memorial International. All United States contestants must present proof of current USA Wrestling Membership Card at registration. USA Wrestling Athlete Membership Cards can be acquired from the State Chairperson or State Membership Director of the contestant’s state of residence, online (click HERE), or during registration at a cost of $35. No prequalification required. All USA Wrestling Coaches Membership Cards MUST be attained prior to the event, due to mandatory background checking. For a Coaches Membership Card, please click HERE. Men: Athletes born in 1989 or before are eligible. However, athletes born in 1990-1991 may compete with a written statement from a medical professional, on his/her printed stationery, attesting that the athlete is of sufficient physical and emotional maturity to participate at this level. Women: Athletes born in 1989 or before are eligible. However, athletes born in 1990-1992 may compete with a written statement from a medical professional, on his/her printed stationary, attesting that the athlete is of sufficient physical and emotional maturity to participate at this level.
