Minnesota ends regular season ranked No. 1 in USA Today/NWCA/AWN Division I Coaches Poll

Manheim, PA - After avenging two losses at last weekend's NWCA/Cliff Keen National Duals, Minnesota reclaimed the top spot in the final regular season USA Today/NWCA/AWN Division I Coaches Poll release on Tuesday.

Minnesota finishes the season 16-2 after picking up wins over No. 2 Iowa and No. 1 Oklahoma State at Williams Arena on the campus of Minnesota on Saturday. The Gophers had previously lost at home to Oklahoma State in December and to Iowa last month. Minnesota received eight of the possible 10 first-place votes, while Oklahoma State and Penn State received one vote each.

Oklahoma State slid to No. 2, while Penn State remained at No. 3 in the final dual-meet ranking.

Missouri finished third at the National Duals, beating Iowa 18-16 and finishes the regular season ranked fourth. Iowa fell to fifth.

Ohio State, Virginia Tech, Illinois, Oregon State and Cornell round out the Top 10.

Eight of the top 10 teams in the country participated in the National Duals final weekend. The event also saw three different No. 1-ranked individuals lose during the competition.
