21 more airings set for Grapple at the Garden TV broadcasts on FOX College Sports

There will be 21 more airings on FOX College Sports for the television shows created from the 2012 Grapple at the Garden, a major college wrestling event hosted in Madison Square Garden in New York City on December 16.

Two different two-hour shows were created from this historic event.

A two-hour telecast of the No. 2 Oklahoma State vs. No. 8 Cornell college wrestling dual meet was featured in the first show. Commentary is provided by A.L. Haislip and Nick Garone.

Another two-hour telecast of the highlights from the other 13 Div. I dual meets which were part of the Grapple at the Garden was included in the second show. Commentary is provided by Jason Bryant.

There were five past NCAA champions who were featured as part of the competition in New York City: Kyle Dake and Steve Bosak of Cornell, Matt McDonough of Iowa, Jordan Oliver of Oklahoma State and Logan Stieber of Ohio State.

In addition, there were eight teams ranked in the top 25 of Div. I wrestling in the field.

So far, there have already been three airings on FOX College Sports Central. An additional 21 airings have been scheduled, starting on Wednesday, January 16 and running through Wednesday, February 27.

USA Wrestling was among the sponsors of the inaugural Grapple at the Garden, with its sponsorship support helping pay the costs of the production of the television shows that are now being aired on FOX College Sports.
