Action from the Northwest Bigfoot Battle in Liberty Lake, Wash., the opening event of the Folkstyle Tour of America.

USA Wrestling’s popular youth folkstyle series, the Folkstyle Tour of America, had a great launch for the 2012-13 season with a record-setting Northwest Bigfoot Battle in Liberty Lake, Wash. on Saturday, November 17

The event was held at the impressive HUB Sports Center in Liberty Lake, and set a record for the number of entries in this competition. There were over 700 wrestlers from 10 states competing in this growing event, which featured a number of youth age divisions.

The Folkstyle Tour of America events host both regular divisions and true beginner divisions for wrestlers with less than two years of experience. This was very well received in Washington, as many athletes and their families chose to compete in the true beginner divisions.

The individual champions are listed below. Fans can check out the brackets by visiting the link below:

There will be age divisions from Bantam through Middle School, with regular divisions and true beginners divisions in every age group. This event is also looking to grow from last year. We already have wrestlers registered from 13 states!
