Olympians in freestyle and Greco-Roman competing this weekend in Europe

Two-time Greco-Roman Olympian Spenser Mango competes in Serbia this weekend

Two U.S. Senior-level teams will be competing in Europe this weekend, with a number of 2012 U.S. Olympians scheduled to wrestle.

Five members of the 2012 U.S. Olympic Greco-Roman team will be in action at the Gedza International in Belgrade, Serbia, June

Five 2012 U.S. Olympic Greco-Roman athletes are among the U.S. competitors at the tournament.

Two-time Olympians Spenser Mango at 55 kg/121 lbs. and Dremiel Byers at 120 kg/264.5 lbs. will be wrestling. Byers was a 2002 World champion and has won three World medals.

Olympian Justin Lester, also a two-time World bronze medalist, will compete at 66 kg/145.5 lbs. Other 2012 U.S. Olympians scheduled to wrestle are Ben Provisor at 74 kg/163 lbs. and Chas Betts at 84 kg/185 lbs.

Seven U.S. Greco-Roman wrestlers will be in action in Serbia.

A U.S. men’s freestyle team is competing at the Ziolkowski International in Siedice, Poland, June 16-17. The team will be led by two members of the 2012 U.S. Olympic team.

Olympian and 2009 World bronze medalist Tervel Dlagnev will compete at 120 kg, while Olympian Sam Hazewinkel will wrestle at 55 kg.

The U.S. delegation in Poland includes eight top Senior-level freestyle wrestlers.
