Sweep to a Bodylock
Using a missed shot to setup another attack is an advanced skill that can be drilled.
The wrestler on the right attempts a sweep single but is countered.
After the defender sprawls the wrestler goes right to his next attack.
With the hand that shoots, the wrestler reaches around the body.
As he slides up to a bodylock, he raises his elevation up.
He then confidently attacks his opponent by locking up a bodylock.
He locks around the waist, while stepping into his opponent.
Notice the attacker locks deeply around the waist of his opponent, by using a butterfly lock at his forearms instead of being satisfied with a knuckle grip lock.
He steps in and lifts his opponent by while taking him off of his feet.
There is very little arch in this bodylock, rather it is a twisting lift.
Maintain the lock all the way through the throw.
A good finish should take an opponent to his back for nearfall.
